Personal Mastery is often defined as self-control. This, however, is only one aspect of it. Peter Senge defines Personal Mastery as "approaching one's life as a creative work, living life from a creative as opposed to a reactive viewpoint (Senge, The Fifth Discipline)." It requires personal vision, creative tension, and commitment to the truth.  It means truthfully answering these questions: What do I truly desire? Why am I here? What do I bring to the table? How do I continually create the results I want to create for myself, my team, my organization, and my community? What do I need to let go of so I may be a better leader in my life and in my work?

Personal mastery is not a status to be achieved, but a lifelong discipline. It requires recognizing our gifts and our trip-ups. It means replacing old habits of thinking, doing, and being with new ones. It means creating failsafe ways to make sure we stay true to our purpose. It is challenging work because THERE IS NO CHANGE IN THE COMFORT ZONE, AND NO COMFORT IN THE CHANGE ZONE!

This workshop is built on solid research in leadership development, behavioral economics, and cognitive psychology. At the end of the workshop, you will have a sustainable personal development plan built on your own personal vision, purpose, and strengths that goes beyond the traditional new year's resolution and annual year-end reflection.

After the course, you will:

1. Gain greater self-awareness on your strengths, challenges, motivations, anxieties;

2. Develop or reaffirm one's personal vision and purpose; and

3. Develop an actionable strategy and concrete plan for your first three months of change
