This is a one-day interactive workshop aimed to enhance the traditional way of managing employees to meet the unique requirements of young workers. The modules in this course will provide leaders of today the necessary understanding and skills to create an effective leadership style to better fit the aspirations and motivations of young workers. A framework will be developed on how to support their young staff through career development, performance appraisals, reward and recognition, and crystal-clear communication of expectations. One of the goals of this course is to develop a desirable work environment where young workers are given the opportunity to contribute and make decisions.

Objectives

A successful participant will:

  1. Have an increased awareness on the needs and motivators of young Filipino workers;
  2. Be prepared to foster a meaningful and comfortable working relationship with today’s youth; and
  3. Gain skills to better manage the new generation of Filipino workers.
Outline

MODULE I
This introductory module provides you with an overview of who the Filipino     workers are, and allows you to reflect on what It means to work with them. It walks you through the realities of a young worker - how relationships affect them, what motivates them, and what working means for them.

MODULE II
This module walks you through your leadership roles as a team builder and     coach, who will establish the direction for the young workers to follow. In particular, this module engages you in monitoring and adjusting resources and processes that would help them achieve their goals and objectives that would pave way for committing to you organization.
