Price: Php 3,400
Description

This course surveys some of the world’s most appealing love poems, following a natural history of love.  The selections will include examples drawn from both world poetry and our very own tradition of poetry written in English.  We will look at some attitudes about love and their influence on shaping the love poem, and consider, too, some helpful notes about what makes a good love poem.  Part of the time will be devoted to a short workshop on writing your own love poem. Poetry reading will close the session, a literary bouquet of love’s many roses, with guest poets reading their top picks in the genre.
